I'm following the basic schedule, so my week one looked like this:
Monday - Align: The Fundamentals
Tuesday - Define: Lower Body
Wednesday - Define: Upper Body
Thursday - Sweat
Friday - Rest Day
Saturday - Define: Lower Body
Sunday - Define: Upper Body
Since my life is just like everyone else's I took two rest days. Friday, as scheduled, and Saturday. I skipped Saturday's workout because my day was filled to the brim! Up at 6:30 to be downtown at 8 to help set up for and attend the amazing Pittsburgh Super Saturday. From there, Bill and I darted to Burgettstown to begin DMB Day. For those of you who don't know us, the Dave Matthews Band is our most favorite band in the world. We travel far and wide to see them play, so when they come to Pittsburgh the tailgate starts at noon and we enjoy the day with friends before dancing the night away! My husband and everyone we were with took such good care of me... I got the best shaded seat in the house, ice cold towels for my neck, and lots of yummy snacks and water handed to me all day. Who knew being pregnant also meant being pampered?! ANYWAY, I was out of the house from 7am until after midnight -- no PiYo on Saturday!

DMB 2014! |
I have had to modify a few things but it has been more to make room for my belly than anything else. I will admit to doing plank on my knees and not fully elevated on my toes. I have had a lot of round ligament pain lately so I am being super cautious to not pull ANY abdominal muscles and add to that. But other than that, I have kept up the whole time! I love it because I am getting am major sweat, lots of muscle work, but I'm not out of breath and my heart rate is controlled.
I can see PiYo being amazing for a fitness beginner but I also think it might be the answer that a lot of fitness addicts are looking for. So many of you are adrenaline junkies and need to be in motion constantly while you are working out so you skip out of things like Yoga and stretching because they are boring. If this is you, I honestly believe PiYo is your answer! You are still moving and sweating but you're stretching, too!!! When I am done my muscles are oddly stretched and relaxed but also just worked hard and are tired... it's a total conundrum and I love it!
Since this program is BRAND new, I am starting an Exclusive Test Group for it in July. We will start our group prep week July 7th and work together through the 60 Day Program over the Summer! I am looking to build my portfolio of testimonials about what combining Shakeology and PiYo can do for a person. I would love to have a few beginniners and a few fitness veterans so that we can determine the range of results. If you are interested in joining us, be sure to fill out the form below or send me a message on Facebook! I am accepting commitments through July 3rd!
Cheers, guys!
